I took a week off. I listened to music. And I listened to Featherstone. A lot. I needed a break from work to be home with family. It was so desperately needed. So of course, I was inspired to name my cosy stripe blanket into the featherstone cosy stripe.

In between the school drop offs, cleaning and house tending (feeling like a super awesome housewife btw!) there was some needed time for creativity and re-charging myself. And before I knew it my blanket was done! I’ve been listening to The Paper Kites a lot and I guess this blanket was inspired by the video. A forest, greenery, the blues..

The song is inspiring and beautiful. Just as my blanket!

It was a pleasure to do and a joy to finish, however darning the edges was of course, not that fun. But none the less, the end result is so amazingly beautiful!

Here are the details for this blanky:

Pattern: Cosy Stripe Blanket by Attic24
Yarn: Stylecraft Special DK in the colors:

I did 4 rows of crochet linen stitch in denim, and also border no. 497 from ” 500 knitting pattern world of Chie Kose” .. I discovered that this book also have crochet stitch patterns and borders. Happy I got this book!

It was so lovely being off to be with my family this week. It was well needed. Even our dog seems to love it too!

My stack of blankets are now growing a bit, which is such a lovely thing! It makes me smile every time I lay my eyes on them:

I hope you all have a lovely weekend..
